This program is designed for students who want to support families in multiple ways throughout the childbearing year. You’ll complete training in birth doula support, antenatal and postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and childbirth education while also completing the advanced coursework included in the Certified Advanced Doula Specialist pathway.
As a doula, you’ll develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide physical, emotional, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. The CADS portion of the program also includes additional education in areas such as communication, cultural competency, trauma-informed care, and grief support.
The Childbirth Educator program prepares you to educate expectant families about pregnancy, labor, birth, and related decision-making.
