Doula Re-Certification with DoulaVersity

Re-certification Options

Your certification is for life.  However, we understand that some people would like accountability, or need to re-certify every year or so.  Your certification is automatically defaulted to the life-certification.  If you would like an expiration date, all you need to do is ask!

For those who chose to re-certify, you can do so at any time you would like (every year, every two years, etc).  Following payment for re-certification, students will be given six months access to our student platform where they can brush up on their skills and check out the latest evidenced based birth practices.

We have three very simple options for re-certification:

Option #1:
Sign code of ethics and grievance policy
Attend 1 birth, and provide self evaluation form, and client evaluation form
Read 1 book and submit book report summary
Take 1 advanced training class or course (see our list of options and requirements here)

Option#2 (for those who don't like to read):
Sign code of ethics and grievance policy
Attend 2 births, and provide self evaluation forms, and client evaluation forms for each client
Take 2 advanced training classes/courses (see our list of options and requirements here)

Option #3 (for those who didn't support any births)
Sign code of ethics and grievance policy
Take 2 advanced training classes/courses (see our list of options and requirements here)
Read 3 books and submit book report summary for each

Book reading:  Books can be anything related to pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding or newborn care

Fee for re-certification:  $75
Students have the option to break up the payments into $25 a year.
Students have the option to pay what they can one year, skip a year and pay the remaining fee upon re-certification.
Referral Fee:  Students who are members of the Doula Connect Program can use their referral fees to pay for the re-certification if they would like.
